Strangely is the central setting of Welcome to Strangely, a dark fantasy story about lost souls, hidden doors, grief, memory, and the thin places between life and death.
It is not fully separate from the real world, but it is not entirely part of it either.
In Strangely, ordinary spaces can become thresholds. A house may lead somewhere impossible. A hallway may feel longer than it should. The dead may not be as far away as the living believe.
The story follows Jenny O’Brien after she awakens in a mysterious world called Strangely. A place between life and death where memories fade, dangerous secrets awaken, and four girls discover they may be tied to an ancient prophecy.
JENNY
The more Jenny sees, the harder it becomes to decide what is real and what should have stayed buried.
ABBY
Abby is drawn toward truths other people avoid even when those truths threaten to change everything she believes.
EMILY
Emily begins to realise that love itself may be one of the few things powerful enough to survive the darkness.
ZARA
Zara finds herself pulled closer to truths she may not be ready to face and the possibility that some souls never truly leave.
Strangely and The OtherWorld
The OtherWorld overlaps with Strangely in ways that are not always visible at first.
Those who enter may begin to understand that the dead walk closer to the living than anyone realises.
Some souls are trapped.
Some are waiting.
Some may not even know what they have become.
Strangely is one of the places where that truth begins to reveal itself.
Is Strangely safe?
No one in Strangely should assume they are safe.
Danger in Strangely is not always loud or obvious. Sometimes it appears as a rule. Sometimes as a locked door. Sometimes as a person who knows more than they should.
The most unsettling thing about Strangely is not that it is strange.
It is that, after a while, it begins to feel familiar.
